My name is Anthony Nowlan.
I am currently looking for work in Information Security.

I have been interested in computer networks for a number of years. I have been using the internet since 1995, long before it became the essential service it is today.

Back in 2003, I enrolled in night classes at Swinburne Tafe to study for my CCNA.

In 2008, I enrolled at RMIT to further my Cisco studies, and work my way toward earning my CCNP certification.

In 2009 I took an interest in network security, and passed Cisco’s CCNA Security exam.

I am currently studying for CCNP Security, so far have passed the ASA Firewall exam.

I am interested in Enterprise technologies, including SAN and Visualization. In 2012 I passed EMC’s Information Storage Associate(EMCISA) exam.

In 2013 I decided to diversify and pick up some Juniper. I am currently have Juniper Certification – Associate (JNCIA-JUNOS). Perhaps JNCIA-Security in the future?

2013 was also the year when I completed my studies for Bachelor of Information Communication & Technology (Network Design & Security) from Swinburne University of Technology.

During my time there, I was involved with the Swinburne Cyber Security Club. My team placed 8th nationally in the DSD/Telstra CyberChallenge 2013.
